Blue Colonel by Spode, a beautiful traditional pattern manufactured between 1962-2009. Gold accents the rim of the plate while the scalloped verge is adorned with the dark blue flowers. Lets all go back to fine dining!

I remember buying these and the gorgeous pattern catching my eye upon entering the home. I have to admit initially I thought about buying but said no.  Later that day I changed my mind and trotted back the next morning and waited before the estate sale started, 2nd in line. Promptly I entered and took the price tag and headed out to pay, while another lady was telling the cashier that she wanted the plates (5th in line), well the rules said I had the deal and she cried (these were not her family heirlooms or I would have gave in) over these dishes. I told my friend about the dishes and he said his wife was sending him back to buy,  to late for her too! I learned my lesson and will buy earlier than the next morning. Yes, we all thought these were/are beauties.

1. Gold rims are in very nice condition except as noted on the #2 dinner and bread plate. I believe these still work well with set, but you are forwarned.
2. Floral verge on all pieces clean and mar free
3. No chips, you will find light scratches, no cracks, no grey utensil marks, no crazing, the owner took very good care of the pieces. I believe the set was alot larger based on the odd numbers listed and all the well used pieces have been rooted out.
4. Please look at pictures, conditions typical unless stated otherwise.
5. Dinner plates show light use in the center only. Plates still show very well. I cannot photograph.
6. Bottom of  ALL cream soup plate handles  show a little gold missing ( just handles). I believe the pictures show what i am talking about.
7. A few pieces are being sold with some random gold issue, please look at the pictures for the #2 items!
8.The #2 cream soup are still very nice, I cannot photograph the issue found on the two pieces. One has a tiny nick on underside of handle while the other has an 1/8" dot on the bowl where glaze seems to be missing. Personally my guests probably would not notice but yours might!  All else is very good.
