Lovely pair of large (late 1800's) 19th Century Staffordshire pottery recumbent lions with their original glass eyes.  

A large matching pair of 19th Century recumbent lions in a soft golden brown with lovely original glass eyes, long flowing manes, recumbent & relaxed with crossed front paws with alert and beautifully detailed faces with a naive quality.   

The lions are solid (and quite heavy), both in excellent condition, no chips, repairs or damage.  They retain gold highlighting to the manes, and deep sturdy bases.

Measurements: 25cm high, 30cm wide, 15cm in depth
