A highly detailed and very decorative plan of the town of Bolsward (NL), showing all the major buildings and the fortifications. The plan is further enriched by two coats of arms and a cartouche. This genuine copper engraving was published by Joan Blaeu in 1650. It measures 39 x 52 cm (platesize) and is in good condition. The centrefold has been backed from verso.
