■The FC -300 has a 16 character x 2 line LCD that can display MIDI information and patch numbers to be transmitted (when in patch mode), as well as double assigned expression pedals. In addition, it can centrally control a variety of devices, including two amplifier control terminals that allow you to switch channels on an external guitar amplifier, and three terminals that allow you to connect external foot pedals/switches.

■In addition to the standard mode for sending program changes and other messages, it has a control mode for sending control changes and a system exclusive mode. It also features a new patch mode. Patch mode allows you to remember various MIDI messages as patches and send them out by pedaling. This allows different MIDI channels and messages to be sent in any combination, allowing the FC -300 to control the entire combined system of multiple MIDI devices.
