1960's, Immaculate, near-mint to mint illuminated china/display cabinet by Davis Cabinet Co. Although no longer in business, Davis had a long and storied reputation as a high-quality maker of solid wood furniture. No particle board or second-rate materials here. This retails in the $14,000 range in today's market.

This smaller, “medium sized” China cabinet dates from the late 1960s, and is of solid oak construction. Designed in the timeless French Country style, it is in two pieces. The top has a heavy, bonnet style cornice. With a hand-sculpted frieze at the center. Two glass fronted doors open from the center. They have brass wire on the outside, and the glass can be easily removed from the doors’ inside for cleaning. Three shelves have solid oak frames with glass inserts, and can each be adjusted to three different heights. Two picture lights are mounted at the inside top center, and each has a manual switch.

The base also has two doors that open from the center, each having a raised panel with a beautifully hand-sculpted vignette. The interior has two drawers at the top, with open storage below - and a single, removable shelf that runs the width of the cabinet.

The piece is stained in a medium/dark walnut with a satin level finish. It is in exceptionally nice condition. Structurally perfect. The doors and drawers operate smoothly. The color is even overall - no fading or discoloration of any kind. No nicks, dings or dents. No smoking, no pet home.

Dimensions: 84” tall. The base cabinet is 32” high, 53” wide and 17” deep. The upper cabinet is 52” tall at the center and 47.25” tall at either side. It is 50” wide and 13.75” deep. The cornice is 53” wide and 15.75” deep.
