  • Details include cities, towns, counties, railways, submarine telegraph lines, canals, and natural features, with topography drawn in relief and water areas tinted in a delicate blue wash.


  • Among the named places and features are Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow, Kilmarnock, Sea of the Hebrides, Loch Ness, Islay, Kincardine, and Edinburgh. There are insets of the Shetland and Orkney Islands.
