Vintage Ascot Water Heater Type 701, Works with Gas LP, and it is Made in England

This listing is for a vintage Ascot Water Heater Type 701 made in England and assembled in Mexico. The heater has two labels, one on the inside which shows that all parts are made in England. A second label is exterior and shows that it was assembly in Mexico.

The Ascot fliers of that age announce it as:
"Ascot" Multi-Point Gas Water Heater, Finished in White Vitreous Enamel. Can be sponged clean.

About

According to my Mom, this heater was carefully selected by his father and installed around the 50s or 60s on our Mexico City house. We continued using it until a couple of years ago, but there is no more use for it. Right now we are remaking the bathroom where it was and we need to make space for other things.

Actual condition

We have not used this water heater recently and we did not test it before taking it apart, therefore I am specifying the item as "For parts or non working".

If you want to use this item for heating water you would need to have it checked by a plumber. Maintenance should be needed, and maybe even some fix due the age of parts. Of course you can also have this heater for exposition and collectible purposes, right out from the box.

Exterior porcelain pieces of the heater are pretty well conserved but you will find rust on some parts, mainly on the edges where metal is sometimes exposed.

On the interior of the heater, pieces are also pretty well preserved. Parts made of steel might show some rust. Nothing major.

As far as I can see pieces are kept original, but you might observe a few missed screws that were replaced for generic. During taking pictures I didn't see the couple of screws that attach the hat to the body, but I am including two similar that should do the work OK.

*All pictures are from the item you will get. Please take a detailed look on them for better appraisal of this product. Also, if you'd like me to send additional pictures, please don't hesitate on asking.

**As an additional reference yo can take a look to the previous heater I sold. It is same model as this one, but I had the chance to take some nice pictures while it was installed on the wall:

IMPORTANT

IF YOU DECIDE TO CONNECT THIS HEATER TO YOUR GAS SUPPLY AND USE IT, PLEASE HAVE IT CHECKED AND DONE BY A PROFESSIONAL. GAS IS DANGEROUS FOR HUMANS AND KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS AN OLD APPLIANCE, SO PARTS SHOULD BE CAREFULLY INSPECTED FOR SAFETY PURPOSES.
