This listing is for a Vintage "Jack in a Box" a miniature Simplex screw jack made by Templeton, Kenly & Co of Broadview, Illinois, USA.  The small screw jack works as intended.  It is the much desired red colored one.  It's capacity is 500 lbs.  Great for children that have toy automobiles or trucks that want a real working jack like Dad's.  And, for Dad, it is a real tool or cabinet work, repairing furniture, straightening doors or window frames, adjusting water pipes and radiators.  For opening storm windows that swell due to weather.  And of course great for kids.  Height when closed is 3".  Extended height is 4-1/2" and the lever bar is enclosed.  It's a working tool, but also a great vintage collectable.
