Here's an 12v IGNITION COIL, it is a non Ballast coil and suits the following models from Daimler -

DAIMLER

(Early Models, Screw in Type)  

This function of this coil is to generate the 000's of volts required by your spark plugs, they deteriorate with age and the insulation between the wires inside can breakdown and therefore the coil needs replacing once in a while.

(I also have other Coils, Leads, Points, Condensers, Caps and some Full Ignition Sets).
