Zum Verkauf steht hier eine Custom-Bassposaune von Yamaha.
Die Posaune ist eine absolute Rarität! Es handelt sich um das Modell YBL-8210X. Das X steht vermutlich für das Umstellventil. Der Umstellstab ergibt visuell mit beiden Positionen ein ‚X’. Die Yamaha kann als einventilige Bassposaune gespielt werden oder mit dem Aufsteck-/Umstellventil kann man auf der ersten Position das große Eb spielen. Wenn man das Umstellventil wieder zurückstellt, hat man wieder eine B/F Bassposaune. Die Ventil-Anschlaggummis des Aufsteck-Ventilstücks haben am Ende ‚Krallen’, um die Umstellposition zu arretieren.
Ich habe nach einer offiziellen Mail-Anfrage bei Yamaha Europe in Rellingen die Information , dass das Instrument mit der Seriennummer 831201 im Jahre 1983 im Profi-Atelier gebaut wurde. Das Instrument ist eine Art Prototyp/ Sonderanfertigung.
Die vierstellige Modellnummer wird teilweise in Yapan vergeben (meistens wird an den uns bekannten Modellnummern eine Null hinten dran gehangen) oder halt für Profi-Sonderanfertigungen verwendet. Die 800er Serie war in den 80ern des letzen Jahrhunderts die ‚Custom‘-Serie (Vorgänger der heutigen Xeno-Serie). In Europa gab es eigentlich nur Alt- und Tenorposaunen zu kaufen (mit und ohne Ventil). Daher ist dieses Instrument in Europa so selten!
Die Bohrung des Goldmessing- Schallbechers (fast schon Rotmessing) beträgt 25,4 cm (10 Zoll), die Bohrung ist 14,27 mm (0,562 Zoll). Die Stimmung ist Bb/F/Eb.
Die Yamaha ist sehr gut erhalten,
der Lack ist gut, jedoch aufgrund der Einzelanfertigung geschuldet, etwas rauher. Anscheinend sind die Bögen auch handgebogen. oberflächlich aber glatt und fest. Am dünn gehämmerten Schallstück gibt ein paar Riefen am Schallrohr, die wohl durch einen zu heftig eingesetzten Dämpfer hinein gerieben wurden. Außerdem ist am Becher eine leichte Falte und eine Macke zu verzeichnen (siehe Bilder). Es sind aber nur leichte Spuren, die sicherlich vom Fachmann leicht herausgerieben werden können. Außerdem gibt es an zwei Stellen des Becherrandes oxydierte Stellen. Am ganzen Instrument konnte ich keinen Zinkfraß feststellen. Der Lack, auch am Spielzug ist fast komplett erhalten! Die Ventile laufen glatt und flüssig; alle Stimmzüge lassen sich leicht ziehen. Der Spielzug (innen) ist aus Neusilber, verchromt; der Außenzug ist aus Messing mit Neusilber Überwürfen und läuft sehr gut. Der Zugbogen ist aus langlebigem Neusilber. Die Verchromung des Innenzuges hat so gut wie keinen Abrieb und läuft sehr gut.
Zum Instrument wird der Original-Koffer und ein Douglas Yeo Mundstück geliefert.
Eine einmalige Gelegenheit, ein e toll klingende und tonstarke Bassposaune in äußerst gutem Zustand zu ersteigern.

I want to downsize my instrument collection.
For sale is a custom Yamaha bass trombone.
The trombone is an absolute rarity! It is the YBL-8210X model. The X probably stands for the diverter valve. The shift stick visually makes an 'X' with both positions. The Yamaha can be played as a single-valve bass trombone or with the push-on/changeover valve you can play the big Eb in the first position. If you put the changeover valve back, you have a Bb/F bass trombone again. The valve stop rubbers of the push-on valve piece have 'claws' at the end to lock the changeover position.
After an official email request from Yamaha Europe in Rellingen, I have the information that the instrument with the serial number 831201 was built in the professional workshop in 1983. The instrument is a kind of prototype / custom-made product.
The 800 series was the 'Custom' series in the 80s of the last century (predecessor of today's Xeno series). In Europe you could actually only buy alto and tenor trombones (with and without valves). That's why this instrument is so rare in Europe!
The bore of the gold brass bell (almost red brass) is 25.4 cm (10"), the bore is 14.27 mm (0.562"). The tuning is Bb/F/Eb.
The Yamaha is in very good condition
the paint is good, but due to the one-off production, it is a little rougher. Apparently the bows are also hand bent. superficial but smooth and firm. The thinly hammered bell has a few grooves on the sound tube, which were probably rubbed in by a damper that was used too vigorously. There is also a slight crease and a quirk on the cup (see pictures). But there are only slight traces that can certainly be easily rubbed out by a specialist. There are also oxidized spots in two places on the rim of the cup. I could not find any zinc corrosion on the whole instrument. The varnish, also on the train, is almost completely preserved! The valves run smooth and fluid; all tuning slides are easy to pull. The pull (inside) is made of nickel silver, chrome-plated; the outer slide is made of brass with nickel silver overlays and runs very well. The bow is made of durable nickel silver. The chrome plating of the inner cable has almost no abrasion and runs very well.
The instrument comes with the original case and a Douglas Yeo mouthpiece.
