This is a genuine 1780 published folding map centering on the Hudson River area of New York state. Framed in a partially gilt frame 18.5 by 15.75 inches.  The map border is 13 by 10.5 inches and mounted at the edges only. Printed on fine laid rag paper. No cartographer given but maybe by Kitchen in London. Out of the Universal Magazine vol. 66. Titled "An Accurate Map of New York, etc". Fine hand coloring of later date. Nice title cartouche too. Shows three proposed northern borders for NJ.  A very clean copy with only a short, repaired split just into the border at center, right side (looks to be a printing crease that split at the farthest left end).

No other copies available for sale online at this time. Scarce Revolutionary War period map. Professionally framed with rag matting and sealed.
