DESIRABLE BUT NOT NECCESSARY
Treat it once every few weeks with lanolin oil using following method: Dip one finger in the lanolin and warm it by rubbing it between your hands. Rub it into the comb. Wipe off excess with a cloth. Let it sit over night before using. The lanolin soaks into the horn literally re-energising it.
