THIS COAT CAN PASS FOR BRAND NEW. I actually would prefer to keep it… I’m considering taking it down. It is more of a layer coat. You have to wear layers under because the sleeves are a bit roomy- like it was intended to be worn over layers, or that’s how it seems to me… unlike a traditional Navy peacoat that already comes heavily quilted so that the sleeves feel snug and no need for layers… it has zero visible pilling- If you had to measure on a scale it would be less than 5%. No stains no rips anywhere, all pockets are intact. It is missing the BACKSIDE of one of the buttons (the reinforcement button on the inside part of the coat- seen in pics) and I am 100% positive it only CAME with two buttons on the obverse side (the opposite side that is NOT used for buttoning in other words…) Oh also pointing out now then, this is NOT a double-breasted peacoat… it is a MENS traditionally buttoned coat (one side only: left side over the right- and this is why it would make sense that there are only two buttons, by design, on the obverse side. Also to be noted of this fact, is that a button in that area, would get in the way (block) the opening of the inside pocket, and make it very awkward to have one positioned there symmetrically.

It is 65% wool, and a blend of other fibers. See tag.
