This rare and very decorative map of Westphalia in original colors was published by Frederick de Wit in 1680. It is oriented to the West and shows Westphalia from Hamburg in the North to marburg in the South and from Arnhem in the West to Halberstadt in the East in a very detailed way. The map is further enriched by an elaborate cartouche, a compass rose and a milescale. This genuine engraved map measures 47 x 53 cm (plate size) and is in good condition. The centrefold has been strengthened from verso with thin Japanese paper. There is a light crinkle in the lower left corner of the map.
