Very Large & Rare Scroll OF The Complete Book Of Exodus
Handwritten On Genuine Parchment Italy 350 yrs old Historical Item Scroll measures approx 21 feet x 26.25" Rare[Manuscript] undated Bible scroll of the complete book of Exodus hand written on genuine calf parchment in the original Hebrew language according to the ancient Ashkinaz Valish custom that was obeyed hundreds of years ago. The sofer (or scribe) follows the Early Ashkenazi tradition and comply with rules and laws of the Ashkenazi Vellish "Kabbalah" script. It preserves extremely early scribal Ashkenazi traditions and is extremely carefully and beautifully written. The Torah Scroll came from Italy with other judaic items and is approx 250-350 yrs old. All sections of the scroll are tightly sewn with natural animal string called "giddin" which is made from the leg sinews of a kosher animal. Scrolls like these are extremely rare and seldom seen due to age and is important for its rarity of the earliest examples the Ashkinaz Italian tradition of the Hebrew writings of the Bible. Some edge wear, small tears and minor water damage on the bottom margin which does not effect the importance or value of this Exodus Scroll. The letters are large and clear which makes the text easy to read. The scroll considering its age is well preserved and will stay beautiful with care for centuries to come.
