A little bit about me
and the laptops that I sell here on Ebay. I buy, refurbish and sell
windows based laptop computers. I have a massive amount of experience
spanning decades, and my methodology is solid and time proven. This is a
very nice laptop and it will serve you well if you keep the operating
system clean, and you leave the configuration just the way that I have
set it up. Do not alter the configuration, or download any free security
software, free anti-virus software, free PC tools, free performance
enhancing tools, driver updaters or any other free piece of internet
software that promises to do wonderful things for your computer. All of
these programs are malware, and they will logically destroy your hard
drive and your operating system, rendering your computer useless. Why do
you think that they give it to you for free? Once you download their
software, complete remote access and control of your computer and all of
it's files may be possible. Don't fall prey to it! This laptop has the
latest version of Windows Defender which runs and updates silently in
the background, and recently received great reviews. If you listen to my
advice, Windows Defender will be all that you will need in the way of
virus protection.
Do not believe all of the hype that may
contradict what I am saying here. The information that I am sharing with
you does not reflect the opinions of main stream society. They do not
have 40 years of experience as a micro computer systems analyst like I
do. This is all I do everyday is refurbish windows based laptops, so the
choice is yours to trust my word, or trust theirs. "Oh... but my friend
who works in I.T. told me to download the free version of Malware
Bytes, he said it was ok!" <------ It is not OK please just take my
word for it. Any and all free PC security and maintenance software is
Destructive Malware. You do not need any other virus protection other
than Windows Defender, if you simply do not download any free internet
software designed to perform any kind of maintenance or preventative
maintenance on your computer. Don't fall for it, Don't do it! The next
thing that I will share with you is very important. Do not converse with
anybody over the telephone or by email who claims to be with Microsoft
Tech Support. These people are scammers who install ransom ware on your
computer disguised as a free security scan that they perform on your
computer remotely. Just so you know, Microsoft does not provide tech
support to the home computer user. The only support that Microsoft
provides for you is in the form of remote automated servers that allow
for operating system activation, and automatic updates. There is no such
thing as "Microsoft Tech Support", it does not exist. I strongly
suggest that you leave this laptop just exactly the way that it is, and
steer away from the popular main stream "name brand" anti-virus software
programs. Virtually all of these programs are worse than malware
itself. If you refrain from downloading any garbage software this baby
will run like a finely tuned clock for a very long time. This laptop is
set up in such a way as to put you below the radar of hackers, while
surfing the internet. Settings for tracking and on board program
notifications have been minimized and silenced. I know that you will
absolutely love this laptop and the way that I have set her up. The
health of your hard drive and your operating system is entirely up to
you and is fully your responsibility. Keep it clean and it will serve
you well.
This just may be the
cleanest Windows operating system configuration that you have ever
experienced. Please take my advice and leave her just exactly the way
