For sale is a vintage leather dress belt with a gold overlay Southwestern sterling friction buckle.  The belt itself is 44 inches long by 1 inch wide, made of brown leather (I assume).  It has five holes, but the buckle is a friction style.  The buckle is 2 3/8 inches long by 1 1/8 inches tall.  It is curved, and the top is decorated with engraving and gold overlay.  I can’t tell if the highlights are gold plated or if the gold is actually applied.  It had gold scrolls around the edge, two kite-shaped plaques and a central Quetzalcoatl figure.  The buckle is signed with a flying bird mark over [TZR], with “STERLING” and “925”.  The leather is also signed on the back.

Condition on the piece is fairly good.  There are normal signs of use.  An interesting vintage southwestern belt.
