A wonderful antique primitive old English candle box from the 19th century that was acquired from the United Kingdom.
The candle box is hand-made from mahogany wood, scalloped back skirt with a hole for hanging, slant top with original brass hinges, put together with original decorative round head nails, and a nicely aged patina finish.
A fine example of an English country 19th century mahogany candle box/salt box.
In excellent condition for being over 100 years old, great patina, and still retaining its original hinges. There is no woodworm, dings or dents.
