This is the author's third -and last- book on Alfa Romeo Performance, almost eleven years after the V6 book. This time, we’re dealing with two engines, the 24-valve V6 and the 4-cylinder 1.8 Turbo as found in the Alfa 75. I’ve been working on both for a long time, preparing them for road and trackdays so there’s more than enough experience gained to pass along. Inside the 270 pages with more than 270 photos, graphs and drawings, you will find all kinds of useful information to modify and improve these engines for more performance, with reliability and modest cost in mind. Besides engine-specific 24v engine upgrades aimed at all Alfa 24v fwd cars, owners installing them in rwd chassis will find useful tips for their intended transformation.

Now the 4-cylinder part: Notwithstanding its important racing career during the late 80’s and early 90’s, the Alfa 75 1.8 Turbo is relatively unknown outside Europe. When properly modified, this engine can deliver loads of reliable fun from its modest size and this book will guide you through the necessary steps.

But there’s much more than engines here: Brakes, suspension, cooling system mods and much more, all ending with an Appendix containing electrical diagrams, gearbox ratios and last but not least, standard and special cam diagrams for 24v and 1.8T engines.
