Merino yarn spun by Shepley in Yorkshire, a traditional worsted spinner specialising in British wool. 

 

The count of the yarn is 2/9s or 4500NM and is suitable for 5 gauge knitting machines or multi end for heavier gauges. For hand knitting it is similar to 2 Ply. The colour is a natural melange.

The yarn is clean on cone. The finished knitted article benefits from a light steam as it consolidates the fabric and promotes the hand feel. The total weight is 2375g, and the weight of the yarn minus the centre cone is 2340 grams. The postal weight (including packaging) is 2420g.

I am as careful as possible about the photos being a good representation of the colour, but the colours can vary slightly from the picture. I am more than happy to send you a small sample before you buy if needed.
