A Female BYERI Ancestor Statue Figure from the Fang tribe from Gabon. 

Very nice statue with a beautiful brown greasy patina. 

These Byeri statues were places near graves and guarded the remains of the ancestors.

Typical caracteristics of the Fang tribe are the long faces and the thick short limbs.

Good condition with some wear and tear. Misses piece of the left foot. Have a good look at the pictures.
