Early Valjoux Chronograph Enamel Dial Wrist Watch Movement for Project (W183)

Please see photographs for condition and size - the pictures form an important part of the description.

Movement is from a deceased estate and I am unaware of its history, has been stored away for years quite poorly and is very dirty.
The dial has unfortunate damage to this and is quite fragile. It was found as seen in pieces, it is quite unusual and I cannot see another example and am not an expert on chronographs but I am not entirely sure what this has been designed to measure. It most likely dates from the 1920s.
The movement is dirty and is not working and has a broken balance.
It operates with a single pusher above the crown/stem location.
Hands wise there is damage and bends to these and the one sub hand is missing.
Extremely rare piece for a fine project, if cleaned up, working and cased worth a great deal more than I am asking.

Please see our other items, we combine postage on 99% of items unless stated.
