Description:
Oil on board. Signed Jose Jus Escolano and dated 71 on the back. Fine modernist oil with depiction of the artists old boots. An ode to Vincent van Gogh.Framed in its authentic frame. A rare oil by Spanish painter, Jose Yus Escolano (1937- 2017). A certificate of authenticity will be included with this work.
Condition:
Ready to hang. In excellent condition. The oil could use a light cleaning, due to the old age. Otherwise fine with no holes, tears or missing paint. The original frame has minor scratches due to the age.
Jose Yus Escolano (1937- 2017)
Born in Barcelona in 1937. He immigrated to Denmark and studied at the Royal Art Academy in Copenhagen. He is best known for his series of modernist nudes and figures. But also did Mid Century Modern Danish landscapes and still-lifes.
