This is a magnificent & very Large French 19th Century Sevres Porcelain Centerpiece mounted on a Dore Bronze stand with applied and highly decorated leaves handles. The cobalt blue bowl support is hand painted with a fine gold leaf and scrolled gilt design. On each side is a wonderful painted medallions, one side of a gentleman sitting in a lush gardena near two beautiful ladies and on the other side depicts a landscape at dawn surrounding by floral decoration in 24k gold paint on a cobalt blue ground –which is Sevres most classical and sought after color. The inside of the bowl is decorated with flowers, a basket and musical instruments set on a cloudy background while the edges are decorated with music instruments and a floral rim. Signed by Lucot, a very well known Sèvres artist. The finely chased Gilt Bronze Ormolu side mounts and footed base are in top condition with no loss to gilt. Measures: 60 cm handle to handle by 52 cm high. MUSEUM QUALITY ITEM!
