These earrings are wire wrapped with 14k gold filled wire. They come with rubber backs, which are a bit more snug than the silver butterfly backs.

All of our silver jewelry is genuine sterling silver, which means the silver used is 92.5% fine silver, and a 7.5% amalgam of other metals. Fine silver alone is too soft to make into many jewelry pieces, which is why sterling silver is so popular.
