This antique fourteen (14) inch long McCaffrey half-round wood or farrier hoof rasp and wood grip measures 1 1/4 inches at widest, tapering down from that point to 1 inch wide at its tip. This rasp measures 16+ inches overall from the tip of the rasp to the end of the tang. This 7 to 9 to-a-row diamond teeth rasp is of half-round shape; it weighs a substantial 1 pound 6 ounces (22 ounces) as pictured with its short wood grip! Note that the wood grip, nothing if not genuine and authentic, is very worn (see photos) and has not been removed by seller; also that every surface of this rasp bears cutting teeth, which teeth are clean, open, and very edgy and sharp---like glass shards glued to a stick! (see photos). What's more, one side is as good and sharp as the other. You can touch either, but you wouldn't want to drag your hand over either!! Seller is not a farrier, but believes this rasp will readily do the job intended, for horn or hoof or in the woodshop. Nevertheless, as this is a pre-owned antique item, rasp must be offered here "as-is.FYI, seller has NOT chemically or ultrasonically cleaned or oiled the tool or grip.
