Eleocharis (Hairgrass)

Lots of little plants in one bunch

Tall species of carpetting plant - approx 15cm

Thin needle like plants make this a very attractive plant for the aquarium, as the leaves move and sway in the water flow.  Grows to approx 20cm in height.  Can be used to create a deep 'carpet' of plants in the aquarium for fish to hide and explore in, or to spawn against.

You are buying one bunch of eleocharis.  Each bunch consists of  single plants, fastened together with lead weight.

Eleocharis is a relatively undemanding species, and will spread rapidly by runners in the aquarium.  Can be trimmed with sharp scissors as required, to encourage new growth.

The plants shown in main photo are in an established tank with enhanced lighting to show what can be achieved.  Photo 2 shows a close up of example bunch of plants to demonstrate the quantity of Eleocharis per bunch.  You will receive similar.  This is a live plant so we cannot guarantee exact quantity of plants, height or colouration.

You can achieve similar colour and growth from the plants you receive, assuming correct care and attention is provided.

Please read carefully:

·       These plants are rinsed and soaked but not guaranteed completely shrimp safe or snail free.  Soaking in a strong alkaline solution and then thoroughly rinsing before adding to the tank can resolve this, please contact us if you need details on this

·       Plants are checked before sale and holding tanks are regularly treated but on very rare occasions an odd snail or eggs slip through – we advise checking your plants before adding to the aquarium

·       We only send out plants in a condition that we would be happy to have in our own tanks.

·       On the rare occasion an issue arises with the live plants arriving damaged, we WILL require photographic evidence. We need to be contacted within 24 hours or receipt and photos provided with 48 hours of arrival.  We will not accept issues being raised once the plants are within the buyer aquarium, or after the 48 hour period.

We dispatch plants Monday thru Thursday lunchtime in rotation of order received, to avoid your plants being held in the postal system over the weekend.  Most of our plants are packed to fit through standard letterbox, however if ordering large quantities of live plants, these will be sent in larger boxes.  We cannot be held responsible should plants be delayed due to buyer unavailability to accept delivery, or item awaiting later collection or redelivery.
