This is a pre-main amplifier from Unison Research, Italy's proud audio brand!
Established in 1987, this brand specializes in vacuum tube amplifiers.
The company's products in particular feature beautiful amplifiers with wood grain, but this one has a simple appearance.
It is a basic model of the Unico series, which was the company's pride and reputation, and I think its major feature is its hybrid configuration, which adopts the 12 AU7, a bi-triode tube, in the pre-section and MOS-FET, which is said to have the characteristics closest to a vacuum tube, in the power section.
Contrary to its simple appearance, it also features a strong power supply with a large toroidal transformer, and its output is 50 W + 50 W for a performance of 12 minutes!
When you actually listen to it, the warm sound of a vacuum tube, along with the natural and sharp sound of a semiconductor, is typical of modern products.
The music is good, JAZZ and POPS are good, but it's also great for classical and contemporary music!
