For sale here is an unknown use US WW2 Army Container.  Closed, the container measures approximately 9" tall and 5 1/2" across.  The container is painted OD Green, which shows use, age, wear, scrapes, patina, soiling, and paint loss.  The top lid has a rubber gasket that is drying and cracking.  The lid is marked, Dehydrated, Open Only For Use.  The bottom is marked Mirax St. Louis.  I have seen other tins and containers from Mirax, but i have never come across one that states that the contents are dehydrated, so i am guessing this was some sort of food stuffs or rations.  The lid fits on, and will stay on to container, but i am sure that it is missing a locking device.  Inside, the canister shows signs of age, use, wear, and rust.  This will be great for storage or display.
