high voltage resistor tester assembly type CA-131 civil aeronautics authority.

The civil Aeronautics authority was created in 1938 to administer the oversight of aviation in the United States. In 1940 it was renamed the civil aeronautics administration. So this item dates from 1938-1940. This agency was later succeeded by the modern FAA.

A cool piece of aviation history. I wouldn’t test out this piece of equiptment for safety reasons but it is a unique aviation history piece. Includes a 21000 ohm ceramic resistor, a 1000 ohm ceramic resistor, a 1000 ohm ceramic resistor not shown in machine and is damaged, and 2x 100 ohm ceramic resistors.

It has a paper diagram of the layout inside of it and a ground wire and 2 hookup wires. Comes with copper wire with ceramic beads connectors to join together different pathways.
