Bell System Telephone Operator Switchboard Garrett McHenry Oakland Md Point View
Here is an old Western electric switchboard that was removed from the "Point View Inn" in McHenry Maryland. It was working when taken out, I bought it from the telephone contractor about 12 years ago. I collect local pieces from around Deep Creek Lake Maryland, Oakland, Red House, anything within about 25 miles of the area. Anyway I'm getting to old to keep all this stuff and it's time for it to go. It is heavy, about 300 lbs. measures 46" tall x 29.5" wide and from front to back to the end of the table part is also 29.5". This is pick up only. Everything still works and pulls and pushes and dials. The cabinet is a little rough, surface finish only. This is a conversation piece deluxe. This is PICK UP AT my location only. I'm in Oakland Md, at Deep Creek Lake. One hour East of Morgantown WV. One hour west of Cumberland Md. Three hours west of Wash DC. It's a beautiful relaxing drive to the mountains and the lake.
