Canna Lily is an exotic-looking species. It looks a bit like a banana plant. A half-hardy herbaceous perennial is not frost hardy but will grow back with extreme vigour every year from a small root or 'tuber'. Good practice is to lift the tubers in winter and store them in newspaper or pot of mulch, in a shed or other cool place. Cannas flower in mid-summer with an extended flowering season as the plant continues to produce more buds on it's tall, fleshy branches. It's tolerance to hot, dry conditions means it is perfect when other plants may be withering in summer. This variety is cream with brown leaves, a tall-growing variety and you get three tubers with the order.
