This listing is for wonderful 12 piece set of melamine -- 6 salad or sandwich size plates, and, 6 dinner size plates in blue and white. Melamine is wonderful because it’s highly durable plastic that is break resistant. What a way to make a statement before your food even hits these plates. Again, there are 6 salad sized plates. These plates have a bold blue and white pattern which the background of the white has a subtle mosaic pattern. The design on the salads evokes a Mediterranean or Greek design. Each plate has a white flower anchoring the center and four vine shoots extending from this. A dashed line border surrounds the rim. The 6 dinner plates are a solid Greek blue and have a hammered texture to the plate. It looks like water. There’s a variation to the background of the plate so the color on it has some depth and dimension. The blue flows to the edge and fades to a white rim. This set is great for any indoor or outdoor activities such as camping, RV, pool party, picnics, banquets or any special event. Each of these items is marked on the back, “Not Recommended for Use in Microwave Oven. Made in China. Dishwasher Safe Top Shelf Only.” Each salad/sandwich plate measures 8 7/8” in diameter. These salad plates are all in excellent condition. Each dinner plate is heavier than you’d expect and measures 10 3/4” in diameter. There are light scratches on two of the dinner plates.
