Canadian fashion designer Arnold Scaasi (1920-2015) was known for using only the very finest materials and meticulous craftsmanship in his luxurious garments. This vintage cocktail/party dress from the Arnold Scaasi Boutique at Bergdorf Goodman features a brilliant red silk jacquard fabric. The dress is densely ruched from the top of the bodice down to the dropped waist where you’ll find a giant bow affixed to the right hip. There is flexible boning in the bodice, and the lining is red silk. Closure is with a back zipper.  We are dating the dress to the 1980s, possibly early 1990s. It is labeled vintage size 6, but our sizing charts indicate is it a modern size 0 or XS.
