Made in France, this wonderful antique trim is about 100 years old. Originally used on military uniforms ,it is now used for a variety of home decor as well 

The black stripes down the center are made of silk.

It is in great condition having some patina. It is made of gold wire & measures approx 1 5/8" wide.

This item is original antique stock from the archives of Tinsel Trading, in NY, which was founded by my grandfather in 1933 and now located in Berkeley, Ca. I am constantly adding ribbons, trims, tassels, cords, fringes and more, some dating back as far as 1880's.
