Please measure your dogs neck before ordering a collar. If your dog's neck circumference is in between sizes, please choose the closest size and INCLUDE YOUR DOGS NECK SIZE IN THE NOTES.  I can create an in-between size if necessary to ensure the collar fits the first time. Each collar is made to order.

SIZING is by neck circumference and is as follows:
X-Small: 8"-12"
Small: 12"-15"
Medium: 14"-18"
Large: 17"-24"
X-Large: 20"-29"
XX-Large: 28-34"

If your dog has never worn a wider collar, please do our paper test: Cut a strip of paper the width of the collar, hold it up to your dogs neck and try to wrap it around a bit.  If it fits like a turtleneck, consider going down in width for your dogs comfort.   

Please keep in mind the size (L x W x H) of the buckle as well when ordering wider collars for smaller dogs to make sure the collar will fit comfortably: 
2" buckle dimensions:  3" x 2.25" x 0.5"

Martingale collars are also known as Greyhound Collars or Humane Choke Collars. The Martingale Dog Collar was designed for Sighthounds (ie, Greyhounds, Whippets, Italian Greyhounds, Borzoi, Saluki, etc) because their necks are larger than their head and they can slip out of traditional side release dog collars; these collars have gained popularity as training dog collars with other breeds in the recent past because trainers prefer the humane choke aspects.  

A martingale with a buckle dog collar offers the easy on/off option of a standard side release buckle dog collar with the increased functionality of the martingale loop. This option is great for very large dogs with large heads because you can take the collar on and off without readjusting it each time to fit over the head.
