Francisco Nicolas Tamagno is an Italian painter and poster artist, active in France between 1880 and 1914.

The pharmacist, Léon Lajaunie, after having developed several tonic essences, turns to cachou as an aromatic to perfume the breath whose strong flavor covers the breath of the smoker.

On the poster, a young woman, wearing a yellow hat decorated with flowers, presents a box of Lajaunie Cachous to six gentlemen. Each of these gentlemen represents a panel of trades where Cachous were considered particularly indispensable, including: drivers, racing cyclists, magistrates and tobacco merchants.
