Vintage early 1940’s Remington Model 5 serial number B99123 Portable Typewriter with beautiful black crackle textured finish and very nice black keyboard the typewriter shows minimal signs of wear or blemishes. Very good cosmetic, clean working typewriter and case which both are in fine condition as you can see from the pictures. I always hesitate to describe vintage pieces this way as others opinion vary. But I will in this case. This typewriter has a good platen, original feet, paper feed is good , may require alignment of paper initially, backspace, ribbon feed, keys strike and return and it advances as it should as you type. New draw band. New ribbon and types very well in red and black type as you can see from the pictures. Light bell. Original spools. Chrome is in very good condition and graphics are good. The case is in good condition as you can judge from the pictures. The handle shows some wear at the ends. It appears at one time it had a name or asset number on it and has been painted over. The typewriter measures 12 1/4”x 12 1/4” x 5 1/4” and the case measures 14 1/2” x 13” x 6”. Types exceptionally well. Please review all pictures as they are a large part of the description. Being sold as is. Thanks for your interest.
