An-178 is a new transport jet aircraft, created by the specialists of the State Enterprise "ANTONOV" on the basis of extensive experience in the development of transport aircraft widely known in the world, among which the super-heavy An-124-100 "Ruslan" and An-225 "Mriya" are the most famous.
An-178 took to the sky for the first time on May 7, 2015. Since then, the aircraft has been undergoing a program of certification tests. Its high characteristics, demonstrated, including at international air shows in France and the UAE, attracted the attention of the world community.
