Patch of the
72nd separate mechanized brigade
named after Black Zaporozhets
of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The 72nd separate mechanized brigade named after the Black Zaporozhets is a military formation of the mechanized troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The patch of the brigade is a modern reproduction of historical traditions. A white skull is placed in the middle of the sign, which, as stated in the reference, "in heraldry and symbolism carries two opposite meanings at once. The skull is both a symbol of death and a symbol of resistance to it. For military units, the skull traditionally serves as a reminder of life and transformation." The skull (bone) was also used in the symbolism of the Horse Regiment of the Black Zaporozhians in 1918-1923. In particular, it was placed on the flag of the regiment, which is known from the memoirs of the commander of the artillery battery of the Black Zaporizhia: "We are equal to the flag of the regiment, on which is written on one side a skeleton and "Ukraine, or death" and on the other the Trident: "1st Cavalry Regiment Black Zaporizhzhya", led by cheerful and humorous Colonel Petro Dyachenko"
There is a hard Velcro on the back of patches (chevrons).
This will help to fix the chevron on a military uniform, other clothes, a backpack, a baseball cap and other tactical products, where there is a place for such an accessory (soft Velcro). Thanks to it, if necessary, the patch (chevron) can be easily removed and moved to a new place.
The color shade of the product may vary slightly from that shown in the photo, including this depends on the monitor settings.
