Since 1931, Radio Luxembourg had a long-wave transmitter installed in Junglinster in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. In 1964 the commissioning of a new transmitter 17 times more powerful makes Radio Luxembourg one of the most powerful stations in the world. The hearing was very good from Northern Europe to the Mediterranean Basin. The radio is renamed RTL on October 11, 1966 by Mr Jean PROUVOST.

Bernard Villemot (1911-1989) is a French poster artist known for his posters for Orangina or Perrier.
