Offering a truly superb pair of Mappin & Webb creamers and an open sugar bowl in heavy silver plate. This set is a fantastic example of why Mappin & Webb are 'silver smiths to the Crown"....and although this stunning set may never have graced a Royal table...(being in silver plate , not sterling) the quality of design, materials and craftsmanship beautifully illustrate the premier status of Mappin and Webb in English silver smithing. These pieces are executed in a very elaborate Louis XV/Rococo design of extensive acanthus scrolls and floral elements  and are surmounted on each lid with birds with outstretched wings.  Each creamer stands 6 1/2" tall and are nearly that handle to spout..  The sugar bowl is 6" handle to handle and is 3 1/2" tall.  These  pieces are among the very BEST ON EBAY of silver plate by Mappin and Webb!
