We are always cleaning out houses that contain some great vintage and antique items. Our inventory is constantly changing. Here is a very rare antique solid sterling silver barrel/keg with spout and stand. The barrel also has gold "straps." I do not know if the gold is inlaid or washed, but I am selling it as washed. The barrel measures 6 inches long, 3 inches in diameter at the the top and bottom, and 4-1/2 inches wide in the center. The stand measures 4-3/4 inches long, 4-1/2 inches wide, and is 3 inches tall. The barrel and stand weigh a combined 577.2 grams total. I think the spout/spigot is broken, but I do not what is missing. There is a slight flat spot on the front rim, pictured with arrows. It is in otherwise excellent antique condition with some expected light scuffing and tarnishing. It is marked on the bottom of the barrel, sterling 14K, and the stand is also marked sterling. We do not collect these items, and we are NOT experts. We appreciate any information you may have to assist us in identifying, or toward providing a more accurate description, but we do require some authority for the information.
