Lucite Globe: Spherical Concepts, Inc. Frazer, PA USA MCMXCI (1991)

1991

Highly collectible. Amazing condition.

This globe spins easily.

The padded feet are intact and are as clear as the day they were made.

There appears to be one scuff about 3/4” long at the bottom near Antarctica.

Around the opening at the top of the globe there are small cracks in the Lucite. It’s like it’s in the Lucite. You can slightly feel the crack on one crack, but not on the other. Check the photos to see. They’re small and don’t effect the movement or coolness of it. At all. They actually look a bit like they’re supposed to be there…like it’s an island or part of a continent.

The globe detaches from the stand if you want it to. It’s easy to do and not because it’s old or stretched. It’s just easy to pull gently at the top of the stand and separate the globe.

It’s crystal clear and bright.

The base is 4” wide and about 6” long before it starts to curve upward.

The whole unit it about 12” tall and about 8” wide. The globe is probably as big as a volleyball. It’s smaller than a basketball, I’d say.

This does not come in it’s original box.
