TRiX Real Dry Carbon Fibre carbon Canards MINI Cooper S JCW GP R52 R53

This TRiX 100% REAL carbon fibre canards. These are made from 100% genuine Dry carbon Fibre and are NOT the cheaper carbon fibre effect.
As well as adding this cosmetic improvement, this item is intended to increase downforce over the front wheels resulting in more grip and faster cornering speeds. They are designed to fit bot the cooper, cooper s and aero bumpers.

 

Based on the M7 canards which are no longer available, there is no downside to fitting these as they will always result in better performance and handling. On our own R53 these along with a flat floor and a functional diffuser have increased our lap times significantly, and their lightweight carbon fibre design adds almost no weight to the car.

If you have a track focused mini or are aiming for better handling and grip, these are a must.

 

This will only fit Gen 1 Mini Cooper S which include:

R50 R52 R53.

Fitting instructions


Bonding

1. Offer up the canards to the bumper making sure to line up the canards to the top of the bumper..
2. Bond it on using a silicone or similar adhesive. Allow to dry for at least 12 hours before driving the car to ensure they are stuck on correctly.

 

Bolting these on is preferred, and we use self tapping screws as well as silicone on our own demo car. For security and strength

 

If you prefer to bolt-in please see below.

Bolt-in

1. Offer up the canards to the bumper. Feel free to use masking tape to hold them in place if needed.

2. if using self tapping screws, screw them into place.
3. If using bolts, drill a hole in the correct location using the holes predrilled in the canards as a guide.
4. Attach nut and bolt.
5. The bumper may need to be removed for this method, although it is more secure.

Although these are quite easy to fit and usually will take 10 minutes, it does require a great deal of patience to line up everything correctly. If you are not confident, we always recommend professional installation.
