About the Plates
On offer are two lovely, EXTREMELY RARE, green on white Transferware Collingwoods plates in the Gem pattern - being sold as a pair. The backstamp on these plates dates them to between 1912-1924. The unique color of the plates is a spring green on white. Featured motifs are a bird drinking from a fountain in the center of the plates. The inner band features alternating motifs of fruits and large flowers. The outer band features a geometric patterned curtain with hanging valances that continue around the inside edge of the gold rim. The plates are round with no scalloped edge. The plates are both in excellent, like new, vintage condition.
