Extremely Rare Vtg - AIR AMERICA - Aluminum Stewardess Case

Vintage Air America Stewardess / Flight Attendant purse with a that measures 5 X 5 ½ X 3 inches deep, aluminum body, hinge and catch, with a AIR AMERICA decal on the face. The interior was a worn back velvet liner with a small mirror on the face. The piece does have an black nylon shoulder strap and is stamped on the reverse NATURAL ALUMINUM MADE IN INDIA. 

Not sure if it's from Air American which was a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) owned and operated airlines from 1950 to 1976 and operated passenger and cargo planes in many different countries.

Or possibly part of Air America after the war when it was sold off

Or maybe an old logo from American Airlines...
