This is a hand turned bowl made from Eastern Black Cherry wood.

Bowl dimensions:  7 3/4 inches diameter,

2 1/2 inches tall. 

  It will darken over time to a nice rich dark reddish brown patina.  Right now it's kind of a pinkish buff color, but I assure you it will slowly start to darken.  The more light it's exposed to the quicker it will darken, because it's a photo-reactive wood.

The finish came out really great!  Has a nice satin luster and feels smooth.  I'm really happy with how this simple little bowl turned out!  Signed and dated on the bottom.
