The emulator simulates that the seat
occupancy sensor (seat mat) works
correctly and that the seat is always
occupied. It sends to an airbag control
unit the same signal as that sent by seat
mat while a passenger is sitting.
The emulator is the diagnostic device to test correctness of car installation working and to make
sure that the error displayed on a dashboard is caused by a faulty seat occupancy sensor
Problem Appeared
Airbag warning light or SRS warning is on or
there's a message "Passenger restraint system fault"
and DIAGNOSTIC COMPUTER shows that the seat
occupancy sensor is faulty.

- Turn the ignition off.
- Find the seat occupancy sensor plug under the passenger seat (wires colors: red, white, brown). Disconnect this plug and connect mat emulator plug instead.
- Find the seat belt buckle connector under the passenger seat and connect the seat belt emulator to the side of car installation (instead of the seat belt buckle) - use little clamp connectors added or solder wires).
- Reset the code using proper diagnostic software.

Problem solved
After installing the emulators the whole
system works normally and passenger airbag
will always work in case of any accident.
So a car computer "sees" it:
Seat occupancy sensor - installed,
works properly
Seat status - occupied
Seatbelt status - fastened
