Offered is this vintage coin bank made in the form of a book, from the Sun Life Insurance Co. of America. The piece has a tan hard plastic body and a burgundy vinyl cover. The spine of the "book" is marked "Your Future" and "Thrift" The "title page" is marked with the company logo and the words "Compliments of your Sun Life agent". The piece was made by the M. A. Gerett Corp. of Milwaukee. It is undated but the manufacturer's address has a single-digit postal code instead of a zip code so it was apparently produced before the mid-1960s, probably in the 1940s-1950s.

The bank is approx. 5 1/4" x 3 1/2" and is about 1 3/16" thick. It is in very good to excellent condition. There are no cracks or splits in the hard plastic "book" or the vinyl cover. There are a few minor marks from handling and use and a light spot on the back, as shown. The words and logo are still distinct. There is no key.
